  • Safety precaution essential for Welding inspectors
  • Selection of Metal joining and cutting Process; Selection of Welding Consumables
  • Drawing understanding with Weld Joint Geometry and Specifications
  • Fundamental principles of Welding Symbols
  • Documentation governing Welding inspection ASME/AWS/ASNT/UStamp/API/OSHA
  • Preparation of WPS & PQR/Welder Qualification / Design QAP
  • Physical Properties of metals vital for Destructive Tests
  • Metallurgy & heat-treatment fundamentals for the Welding inspectors
  • Acceptance of Weld and Base Metal Discontinuities
  • Basics of NDE/NDT Methods & their selection criteria
Practical
  • Live demo & hands-on experience with OFC/Plasma Cutting, Brazingand Welding to familiarize with the variables of welding processes-i.e.OAW,SMAW,GTAW,GMAW,FCAW&SAW,influencequality.
  • Live demo and hands on experience with the methods of Destructive Testing-includes Metallographic (Macro& Micro), All-weld/Transverse-Tensile.Bend,&Impact-tests;
  • Live demo and hands-on experience with Non-Destructive Testing methods ie. VT, PT, MT, UT & RT- interpretation; Making smart use of weld-gauges & tools by the participating welding inspectors.
  • Observation, identification, and evaluation of the weld discontinuities & defects;
