Course Objective
The profession of certified welding coordinators (CWCs) is a high-ranking mandatory role required by the industry, dealing particularly with the standards prevalent as CE, EN, or ISO with comprehensive, specific, and basic-technical knowhow for planning, supervision & testing at welding fabrication site or shop. Timely review of fabricator’s capability in line with the requirements of product standard along with supplementary prerequisite, if any, shall be the major routine tasks & responsibilities to ensure an acceptable quality product without the rework or rejection.

Safety precaution essentials for the weld-shops in industry
Overview of welding and cutting processes
Class, type, and specifications of weld joints
Drawing understanding with Signicance of welding symbols
Documents governing welding inspection ISO-9001,3834-2 & EN 15085
Physical states of metals critical for the destructive tests; EN ISO 5178 / 9016 / 5173 / 9015 – 1 & 2
Basics of welding metallurgy& heat-treatments;
Imperfections in welded joints and the limits for acceptance as per EN ISO 5817
Basics of nondestructive tests & usability criteria. EN ISO 17635
Course Practical
Live demo & hands-on experience with Cutting, Brazing and Welding to familiarize with the variables of welding processes – i.e. 311, 111, 114, 121, 125, 131, 135, 136, 138, 141, 142, 143 & 145, influence quality
Live demo & hands-on experience with the methods of Destructive Testing – includes Metallographic (Macro & Micro), All-weld/Transverse -Tensile, Bend, & Impact-tests
Live demo and hands-on practice with NDT – VT, PT, MT, UT & RT- interpretation
Making smart use of weld-gauges & tools by the participating welding inspectors
Observation, identification, and evaluation of the weld discontinuities & defects
